Learning to live, Learning to shine.

Beaconside C of E Primary School & Acorn Nursery

“Let your light so shine before others that they may see your good works” (Matthew 5:16)

Our School Christian Vison & Values

Our large family school is situated in the rural town of Penrith in Cumbria.  Close to the Lake district with a unique set of characteristics (community, population and environment) that provides so many rich opportunities for all our children.  We want children to understand this, but also embrace their ambitions and dreams, not just within the current circumstances, but in the future and world beyond.

Learning to Live..Learning to Shine    “Let your light so shine before others that they may see your good works”   (Matthew 5:16)

Our Christian vision is for all our children to flourish and use this to enable others to do the same, always using our own strengths, personality and education to support and guide others and never using these to knowingly cause harm.

Living…. Our children will be well rounded, independent young people who are welcoming and accepting of others and reflective and ready for the challenges and delight that life brings

Learning …. Our children will be resilient and self-motivated young people with the resourcefulness and mindset to enable them to strive for self-development and learning throughout their future

Shining…. Our children will be open minded and confident young people with the care and understanding for themselves and others to enable everyone to flourish

Our Christian Values

Understanding and valuing the beauty in the world and all its people and taking time to acknowledge and share

Understanding the thoughts and feelings of others, creating a desire to act in ways that benefits others

Our core value.

Having faith in what we believe and relying on trust and good character in all our actions.

A concrete feeling that is not only what we want to happen, but what we believe can happen based on fact

Standing up for what believe is correct and continuing on the right path despite the challenges we may face
