There are a number of ways that school performance is measured. External inspections through Ofsted and the Church of England provide us with grades and areas for development before the next inspection. Our most recent reports are available on our Ofsted & SIAMS page. Our school is currently graded GOOD in both inspections with many positive comments about the work of our school.
We regularly seek the opinions of children, parents staff and governors to help us evaluate how well we are doing. Our annual questionnaires help us to identify areas to focus our improvements on.
Performance of schools can also be compared by looking at published data. This is available at the end of Key Stage 1 (year 2) and Key Stage 2 (year 6). Our School Results page shows the significant improvements our school has made with the key the combined Reading, Writing and Maths results for both Key Stage 1 and 2 being above the nationally expected level.
By far the best way to evaluate a schools performance is to visit the school and see first hand the children learning. Please contact the office if you would like to arrange a visit on 01768840868 or email office@beaconside.cumbria.sch.uk
