Our Vision

Our aim is to give the children as many opportunities to learn first hand as we can. The children will go on a range of visits from Nursery to Year 6, as well as residential visits from Year 2-6. The children will also get visits into school from rainforest animals, crossfit instructors, Zoobidoo and a wheelchair basketball player. 

As well as this, we start a progression of outdoor pursuits where the children will experience bouldering, climbing, canoeing, fell walking, bell boating and paddle boarding. We are very fortunate to live on the edge of the Lake District and we intend on making the most of it!

Below is an overview of the planned visits, outdoor pursuits and residentials for this year. Please note, these are subject to change and we are working very hard to ensure the children can get these experiences.

To enable the children to get these experiences, many of the visits incur costs. If you are struggling in any way financially to afford the visits, please contact edvisits@beaconside.cumbria.sch.uk and we will work with you to find a solution!
