  • Welcome

Welcome to Beaconside, it is a real privilege to work alongside such a caring and vibrant school community.

I am proud to work closely with our Assistant Headteachers, Emma Short and Sara Prickett, alongside our Executive Headteacher, Mr Nick Page. Beaconside may be a large school, but it has a strong family feel, and relationship is at the heart of everything we do. Our children approach school life with enthusiasm, kindness and resilience, and we work hard to ensure they feel safe, valued and able to shine.

Learning at Beaconside is purposeful, engaging and ambitious. Through our Beacon Curriculum, rich learning experiences, outdoor opportunities, specialist teaching in Sport and Music, and a strong emphasis on play and wellbeing, we support children to achieve well and enjoy learning. Success matters to us, not just academic success, but success in confidence, character, relationships and personal growth.

Our Christian values of hope, compassion, faith, joy and courage shape everything we do. They guide how we learn together, how we treat one another and how we respond to challenge. Our relational, restorative approach helps children develop empathy, self-belief and resilience, ensuring that strong relationships underpin positive behaviour and wellbeing.

If you are considering Beaconside Church of England Primary School or Acorn Nursery, I would be delighted to welcome you for a visit. Nothing captures the spirit of our school better than seeing our children learning, playing and flourishing together.

Thank you for visiting our website, I hope it gives you a real sense of the warmth, joy and ambition that define life at Beaconside.
