What is a Change Champion?

At Beaconside, we believe every child’s voice is valued. Our Change Champions help shape school life by sharing ideas, celebrating what we do well, and suggesting positive improvements. They represent our Christian vision by showing courage, respect, and service to others.

Each class elects its own Change Champion through a fair and democratic process. Children write or present their ideas to their classmates before a vote takes place. Those chosen then wear a special badge to show they are trusted leaders within our school community.

What do our Change Champions do?
• Collect the thoughts, worries and hopes of their classmates
• Meet regularly to discuss new ideas and ways to help everyone flourish
• Plan actions linked to our School Development Plan and our Christian values
• Help lead events and initiatives that make our school a joyful and safe place to learn
• Encourage others to be responsible, respectful members of our community
