Enrichment
Enrichment is a key part of our curriculum as it provides our children with opportunities to experience beyond the standard curriculum. Enrichment is centred around numerous areas such as sport, oracy and articulation, life skills, outdoor adventure, creativity, leadership, wellbeing and spiritual, moral, social and cultural capital. Children are given the opportunity to explore topics in greater depth, pursue personal interests and develop higher thinking skills through these planned sessions. Children also experience opportunities provided to us by experts.
This year we have welcomed a wide range of experts from Peter at Wildlife Photography, who spoke to Year 1 and 2 about Wildlife in Africa to Erin Taylor, a life coach who offered a session to Year 6 in preparation for SATS, to Daisy First Aid who supplied a first aid session to Year 4. Enrichment supports confidence, curiosity and a love of learning by offering challenge, choice, and real-world connections, allowing students to apply knowledge in meaningful ways.
Enrichment is all about learning to live, and learning to shine and is designed to empower children to grow with confidence through meaningful, inspiring experiences.
