What is a Strategic Resourced Provision?
At Beaconside C of E Primary School we believe that every child is unique and special, and we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all. We are committed to developing cultures, policies and practices that are inclusive of every child and every need.
We are very lucky to have a Strategic Resourced Provision (SRP) in school that caters for children with special education needs including:
Within our SRP, we work as a close team and with a range of teachers and teaching assistants who get to know each child on an individual basis. We think that this is really important as, for some children, their learning needs to be based on their personal interests and needs, whereas some children will be ready to do more formalised learning based on their age and stage. Our provision is currently open to 4 to 7-year-olds. (Reception to Year 2)
How does our Strategic Resourced Provision work?
In our SRP we work as a small group and know and track individual progress. This provides all of our children with the opportunity to make progress in all aspects of their learning and participate (where applicable) with the rest of the school community.
