The school offers a varied selection of clubs available to all children. The club timetable is regularly reviewed and updated to ensure that pupils get the opportunity to take part in a range of activities.

|Indoor Athletics||Indoor athletics training is currently based around the Eveque Sportshall Athletics, the most popular school sports competition program in the United Kingdom. It includes events such Speed Bounce, Vertical Jump, Standing Long and Triple Jumps, in addition to Soft Javelin and Chest Push to name but a few.|
|Kwik Cricket||Kwik cricket is a striking and fielding game which aims to develop the key skills of hand-eye co-ordination,accurate throwing, bowling, batting, spatial awareness as well as speed and agility.|
|Dodgeball||A fun and exciting dodgeball club available to all in KS2 a various points in the year. Please check the sports timetable for your next session.|
|Hockey||Developing skills required for hockey open to all in KS2.|
|Basketball||Basketball is a non contact sport which aims to develop the key skills of running, passing, dribbling, communication, co-ordination, spatial awareness as well as speed and agility.|
|Badminton||Badminton is a racket sport which aims to develop the key skills of hand-eye co-ordination, spatial awareness as well as speed and agility.|
Rounders is a striking and fielding game which aims to develop the key skills of hand-eye co-ordination,accurate throwing, bowling, batting, spatial awareness as well as speed and agility.
The aim of the club is eventually allow children to play in a competitive game situation with those who attend the club. Furthermore, we are hoping to select a team from those children who attend the club to compete against other locals schools in a proposed local tournament.
|Netball||Netball club has been a popular club with Upper key stage 2 children and still continues to be. The club is run successfully by Miss Short. We have had another incredible up take this year with many enthusiastic attendees all trying their hardest in the hope of getting a place in the school's netball teams.The club is run with the intention of developing skills and match play, along with building good interpersonal skills as well as developing confidence and self esteem.|
Cross County club is run by Mr Glynn with extra support help from staff and parents. Cross Country Club is a club that welcomes runners of all abilities and experience to run as part of a group around the local area. There are different groups so you can go at our own pace. It is a non-competitive club that is based on enjoyment and developing your own fitness.
There will be opportunities for some children to compete in Cross Country competitions in the near future, for others it is an ideal way to keep fit and prepare themselves for a busy day of learning! Our school obtained notable success in the Hunter Hall Cross Country meet in March, on the back of this club. We hope to continue in this vein and obtain further successes at this meet in the not too distant future.
|Tri-golf||The club is run with the intention of developing skills based around control and accuracy when trying to put or chip using a Tri-Golf club and ball. Also, the club will provide an opportunity for existing Year 3 and 4 team members to consolidate and improve their skills for the up and coming Eden District tournament.|
Children learn a number of differing floor routines in addition to a vault. Furthermore, they learn how to judge a routine so as to improve its delivery and enhance their own individual performance.
Gymnastics is a sport which allows children to develop strength, power, co-ordination, balance,flexibility and timing. In doing this great personal goals can be met which lead to increased self-esteem and self-confidence. Another added benefit of the sport is the developing of listening skills and the ability to analyse and improve moves and routines. All of this lends itself to children acquiring skills which will benefit other sports too. However the biggest benefit of the sport is simply having fun!

|Dance||Learn routines and fun dance moves with your friends....|
|Go Ride||"Go ride" introduces children to a versatile set of cycling skills which help to produce a more confident rider. Children become skilled in cycle control that enables them to brake quickly in a safe manner, handle their bikes in tricky places and learns them to dodge and weave on a bicycle to avoid any incidents. Skills also include "Bike Limbo" which is a great deal fun indeed!|
|Football||Learn essential football skills indoor and outdoor sessions throughout the year.|
|Homework Club||Homework club is run so as to provide children with an opportunity to do their homework within the framework of the school environment. The club is friendly, fun and supportive allowing children to successfully meet the requirements of their homework, set by their classroom teachers. A win win club for pupil, parents and teachers!|
|Singing Club||We sing a wide variety of music, and enjoy performing at the School Concerts and Church Services throughout the year. Our highlight of the year is going to sing at The Sage in Gateshead for the Annual 'Big Sing'!|
|Paper Craft Club||The club is run so as to allow children to obtain different skills and techniques needed to create cards and other paper products. Both Mrs Butler and Mrs Murray have been thrilled with the results of all the childrens' efforts thus far. All products are to be eventually sold so as to raise money for more resources for future after school clubs.|
|Chess Club||Chess club is open to all year 6's. The club is run with the sole intention of simply enjoying this wonderfully thought provoking game. The club allows children to enjoy a quiet environment and develop their mental skills through the game itself.|

Below you can see members of the Chess Club using giant chess pieces which have been kindly donated by Mr Bird's Making It Club. All the pieces have been made from a variety of plastic containers ranging form yoghrt pots to plastic bottles. As you can see it has created a bit of a stir in the playground! Fantastic to see so many children taking an interest in such a pleasant, peaceful yet testing mind game!
